Attendance, Leave & Withdrawal Guidelines
M. G. Memorial School
At M. G. Memorial School, we believe that regular attendance and consistent communication between parents and teachers help build a strong foundation for every child’s growth. The following guidelines are designed to ensure a smooth and transparent process regarding attendance, leave, and student withdrawal.
🌿 Attendance Policy
Regular attendance is key to a student’s learning journey. Every school day brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and connect.
Guidelines:
-
Students are expected to attend school regularly and punctually.
-
A minimum of 85% attendance is required to be eligible for promotion and participation in school activities.
-
Attendance is compulsory on all school days, including special programs, assemblies, and examinations.
-
Late arrivals or early departures should be avoided. Frequent latecoming may lead to disciplinary action.
-
Absence without prior intimation will be treated as unauthorized leave.
🌸 Leave Policy
We understand that children may occasionally need to stay home due to health issues or family matters. Parents are encouraged to keep the school informed in such cases.
Guidelines:
-
A written leave application from the parent or guardian is required for any absence, stating the reason and duration.
-
For planned leave exceeding two days, prior approval from the Principal is mandatory.
-
For medical leave beyond three days, a doctor’s certificate should be submitted along with the application.
-
Students are not allowed to leave the school premises during school hours without permission from the Principal or Class Teacher.
-
Avoid long absences before or after examinations and vacations, as it affects learning continuity.
🌼 Withdrawal Policy
We understand that family circumstances or relocations may sometimes lead to school withdrawals. To ensure a smooth process, please follow the steps below:
Guidelines:
-
The school reserves the right to withdraw a student in cases of poor attendance, non-payment of fees, indiscipline, or academic non-performance.
-
- Notice Period: One calendar month’s written notice or a month’s fee in lieu of notice is required for withdrawal.
- Fees: Students leaving mid-session must pay fees for the last month attended. Transfer Certificates will be issued only after all dues are cleared.
- Caution Money: Caution money not claimed within three years from the date of withdrawal will be forfeited.
